JLG Telehandlers Tennessee
After spending many years working with his brother to be able to establish their crane construction corporation into a leader of the industry, John L. Grove chose to stop working. His wife Cora as well as John celebrated their retirement by setting out on a cross-country trip using their recreational vehicle. After that particular trip, JLG Industries, Inc. emerged and became the world's top producer of specialized material handling equipment and mobile aerial work platforms.
In the R.V. journey, John spent a lot of the time talking to prior business associates that the Groves stopped to visit along their journey. Tragically, while they were visiting the Hoover Dam, 2 employees were accidentally electrocuted on scaffolding. During following conversations, John saw a big untapped market for a type of equipment which could safely and quickly hoist people into the air in order to carry out construction and maintenance work.
After John and his wife returned from the journey, John decided to take action. He and two close friends started a business and after that bought a small metal manufacturing business within McConnellsburg, Pennsylvania. In the year 1970, with an initial group of 20 workers, the trio built and sold the first JLG aerial work platform. Many components of the basic design elements of that original equipment are still being incorporated into the existing machinery
The company has come a really long way ever since John L. Grove drove back into town from his cross-country trip and have grown dramatically since they debuted their very first aerial work platform. Even today, JLG continues to expand into additional worldwide markets. Numerous innovative machinery are made to help customers be more effective and work safer.
JLG has remained committed to being at the forefront of the industry. The company takes operator comfort into consideration very seriously. They strive to deliver in performance, in addition to overall comfort and safety so that the driver could be as effective as possible.
