The S-boom telescopic booms manufactured by Genie have been equipped with a reach ranging from 9.65 meters and 24.38 meters and an ability to work in heights of 14.20 meters to 40.15 meters. Telescoping booms have a much greater range of reach horizontally as opposed to other kinds of aerial work platforms. Genie telescopic booms are engineered with consideration to being able to access confined areas during industrial and construction jobs. They are also known for their ability to rapidly maneuver through a job site with great drive speed and traction. The platform turns 160° hydraulically and is able to stay level through the whole range. Front-entry platforms are available from 1.83 meters to 2.44 meters and come with 227 kilogram to 272 kilogram capacity for operators and tools. Continuous, 360° rotating turntables offer operators quick, easy positioning.
The Z-135/70 unit comes outfitted with a Jib-Extend, that is a telescoping jib. It extends from 3.66 meters to 6.1 meters. This model can also reach 110° vertically to give the user the ability to reach jobs which were unreachable by conventional jibs before. The Z-80/60 model's secondary reverse-articulating boom gives the user 8.83 meters of over and up reach. This feature enables over and up reaching jobs to be completed with zero front arm swing.
The Fast Mast System made by Genie allows for time to be saved when both secondary and primary booms platform has to either be lowered or lifted without needing to lower the secondary boom. The Fast Mast system enables both booms to be raised fully simultaneously. Both of these features of the Genie Fast Mast system reduces the time needed for users to ascend and descend, increasing effectiveness and production.
