Narrow Aisle Forklift
A narrow aisle forklift is designed for lifting and lowering loaded pallets from high storage spaces. This particular type is recommended for work places with narrow spaces between aisles, like for instance warehouses or retail environments. The forklift has small, solid rubber tires that make maneuvering really simple.
Usually, the operator of this particular kind of forklift stands up within a small cockpit. The stand-up design enables the narrow aisle forklift to be as short and narrow as possible. A stand-up cockpit forklift normally has three tires: one in the back, and two in the front. This configuration allows for fast and easy maneuvering. There are several versions of these forklifts that are available with a sit-down cockpit. The lift attachment is capable of pivoting to the sides, allowing the lift to be operated without the operator having to reposition the entire equipment. The sit-down model normally has four wheels.
Many narrow aisle forklifts are powered with an electric engine. Machines which are electrically powered do not produce exhaust fumes and are quiet, making them the preferred option for closed places like retail spaces. Some lifts come with a gas engine or a diesel engine. Nonetheless, the diesel model is not recommended to be used indoors since it could be noisy and produce exhaust.
