The menu based ALC 1000 electronic controls help to allow the user to make easy calibrations to the equipment and its parts. System diagnostics are offered in many languages. On the Z-80/60 model, there are dual fuel options available. The optional Deutz diesel powered engine is turbocharged, but quiet. It allows for improved performance at higher altitudes. What's more, it carries more than enough torque for better grade-ability and terrain.
Better traction for tough terrain is due to full-time positive traction and four-wheel drive. The Z-135/70 is available with four-wheel steering. Optional features on this model include coordinated, crab, rear wheel and front wheel steering to give the machine extra agility. on the Z-80/60 helps improve wheel contact on uneven ground. Genie's engine-powered articulating Z-booms are larger compared to any other Genie models. They feature a continuous 360 degree turntable rotation and telescoping jibs which are designed to give the user a much better range of motion and reach. The design of the Z-boom gives the units exceptional up and over positioning capability which ranges from 8.83 meters on the Z-80/60 unit to 23.01 meters on the Z-135/70 unit. The XChassis expanding axle is an ingeniously engineered mechanism used for retracting and extending axles in and out of stowed position. The width of the Z-135/70 unit equipment is just 2.46 meters when the axle is stowed. For easier transport, the Z-80/60 has fixed width axles.
